When I was growing up, my parents did not love me enough to keep me from getting in trouble. I felt that they could have done a better job of raising me. I started smoking at 10 when my dad was smoking and told me not to. The same thing about drinking. Well you guessed it, I started both of them, smoking at 10 and drinking at 11. When my dad divorced my mom, I was 13. That was when I committed my first burglary. As you can see my parents had a major impact on my life at an early age. We see a lot of children today that are having many problems at home and it is causing them to do things they shouldn’t because they really didn’t care about themselves. Mom and dad didn’t care so why should the children.
If you are having difficulties in your home, I would encourage you to purchase my book, It’s Your Decision Parenting the Way God Intended. It is for the most part an auto biography of my life and how meeting my wife on a blind date was the beginning of a life that I never believed that would be possible. Of course the credit goes to Mary for introducing me to Jesus Christ and she and I had 43 wonderful years together. We raised our children up to be believers in Jesus and they are raising their children the same as we raised them. The book has made a lot of difference in lives of people who have not only read the book, but put it into practice in the family. Like the title says, It’s Your Decision. If you decide to purchase the book, it would be appreciated if you let me know how it worked in your family. I would like to leave you with the following scripture to read and perhaps put it into practice in your home. It is Matthew Chapter 6 vs 25-34. It tells us how Jesus Christ will take care of us if we truly believe and follow Him. I will keep you in my prayers and May God Bless you and your family.
